Agreed...but let's not forget Jammin' Oldies, Bob, Jack, Bill, Fred and Willie; we can go on and on at failed attempts![]()
It's kind of entertaining but sad, watching these groups ATTEMPT to revolutionize FM radio. Like watching a slow death....
As far as broadcasting nothing but static (see above post) Static Radio is already found on 106.7 for now :-\ and no one is very happy

How bad the Pirates are doing? And unless they lure someone else over from another station - who in their fantasy lineup knows a damned thing about the Pens? This will be a ratings disaster. Mark my words. It will be by far one of the least remembered stations in Pittsburgh radio history - even worse than THE MAN STATION. Remarkable how any one in CBS Pittsburgh management survived that experiment. Without any major Pittsburgh sports play by play contracts, which I don't believe any are available, this station will last MAYBE until next spring / late winter once the NFL season discussion is over. I don't see the new 93.7 going above a 1.0 in the 12+ ratings. The only people happy about this change will be WLTJ as they will no longer be in the basement of the ratings as the lowest rated full signal FM station in Pittsburgh.
cingram said:Ah, Jammin' Oldies. I feel compelled to point out that 104.7 was doing fine in the ratings until somebody (not me) decided to
change things and that WMOJ in Cincinnati (which remained true to the format) had a solid 4 share until the station was sold
and the format dismantled. So, there was still life in the old lady, but Pittsburgh didn't stay around to enjoy it and Cincinnati
cut it short.

Jkf said:3. Once tired of the overly consulted Q and its ratings, 92.9 will go back to soft AC. And i mean really soft AC.
Jkf said:4. The point of which makes no sense to anyone = CBS spending money to make this work. CBS for years now has looked for ways to cheapen all of its properties, not just in Pittsburgh - why should 93.7 be any different?
