WJZX FM 106.9 FM Flipped

Would it be great if they kept "Tiger 106.9" for a book & had good ratings? It can happen.
 
I agree with CHRles,

A CHR/Rhythmic type station like how Hot 102 was in the late 80s/early 90s could work in the market. They could even be a rhythmic AC station that played some of the songs during that era. I think it could be very popular and give Kiss and V a run for their money. From what I read it sounds like that was the plan but their moniker got taken by clear channel so that might be the holdup.

Looks like a very interesting summer in radio in Milwaukee that is for sure!
 
Well, from seeing the artists they were going to play, one gets the feeling that WJZX might still go Rhythmic, now that WQBW has opted to target the 25-34 crowd instead.
 
Or why not a 90s hits/Gen X format? Its a new fad happening in most markets...
 
Why is 106.9 all patriotic now??? Guess the Cheating format is over and the Patriotic format begins.......

What will they think of next??
 
I get that but the format changed at 7 pm. At 6 pm it was still Tiger FM. Music for cheaters and cheated on. Look at the yes.com

Just odd timing they switch stunting formats now almost 1 day into the weekend.

Don't be surprised if they stunted 1-2 more times until Tuesday when they might finally reaveal their format (possibly Top 40/Rhythm).
 
Remember, though...by now it was supposed to have been Now. It's not like any of this was the game plan.

But you're right...they're not done changing their stripes!

(Would have been MUCH more funny had it been Cougar 106.9, although I suppose it's not too late to come up with an angle, a logo, and a playlist...)

Its redirecting me to the Tiger 106.9 site again, while the music is still patriotic. Maybe they're going to keep the format the way it is? :p

This is called we got tipped to our "huge" format change and now that the cat is out of the bag, we don't know what to do next!!!

Shame on Saga. If this format is not a Top 40/Rhythmic format or a format that will "wow" people, this will be considered one of the worst managed stunts in recent radio history.

CC called their bluff and they forgot plan B. Unless they plan on doing a stunting format as a permanent format to say take that PPMs!!!

P.S. Take Tiger 106.9 off your website. You look stupider by the day keeping it up!!! Such a clever stunt gone completely wrong.

If only they were "that quick" with the actual format change. Looks like they got caught with their pants down. Stunting, especially on a weak signal, can be risky. When a format flip is planned, keep the lid on, then do it.
