WQRT RealTalk/Furman factor

Two things:

lol...niot paid by anyone...just felt Furman got the shaft at LW and his real story was never told...he was bashed and the public rallied behind TJ and I thought TJ was not only a dirtbag, but wrong in not showing for a scheduled show...
Next...Furman's bosses at LW never once backed him and when push came to shove everyone was real quiet..that was real loyalty...I'm sorry what, the guy worked their day and night for what, 15 years and was shown the door...and I always felt Cunningham's remarks over time were worse.
Next...what's that social misfit mean above?

But I am starting to question The Mole's impartiality here, are you sure you're not being paid by Furman? ;)

Kauf-minion.

Mole: (1.) You are "right on" in your assessment and (2.) the "social misfit" comment was not directed to you :-X

Another off-beat Furman special Thursday afternoon...George Jacoby, offensive tackle played on Woody Hayes' first OSU team..where does this cat find these guests? Wonderful, warm chat with his wife...great radio...hey, no sex, no yelling, no phony call ins.

I enjoyed the Jacoby interview until the lady started to preach about smoking and her activism about it. I don't need to hear from any more nannies about that or other safety-health zealots.

Ironic that Andy is a cigar smoker and one of his weekly remote shows is at the Montgomery Inn cigar dinner fundraiser and I think he has a couple of tobacco shops as advertisers.

Nothing like a good cigar....

The great revival preacher, C.H. Spurgeon, was a cigar aficionado. D.L. Moody used to chide him on his cigar habit and Spurgeon would do likewise about Moody's over eating. Moody asked Spurgeon how much cigar smoking was excessive. Spurgeon would answer.... anything more than one at a time.

Please tell me I didn't miss it....my bud told me Furman had coach K on tonight...I was stuck in a late Friday afternoon budget (cutting) meeting....did anyone hear it?

I heard him come on but I got involved in something else. Not a big basketball fan anyway.

More Jon Warden please!

I was listening to Stephen A. Smith Thursday morning and he tried to interview Pat Williams, the VP of the Orlando Magic..then I turned on Furman at 5 pm, and he did interview Pat Williams...there's no justice..why should he not be heard on Real Talk 1160? The nation needs to hear him.

Andy could easily be syndicated right out of that studio.....

Andy's subbing for Stephen A. Smith right now!

caught Furman's chat with Joe Gibbs...just super -- honestly, he's the best sports talker in Cincy...he deserves a national gig p-- hope we don't lose him...how embarassing....he was on CC's 1360 stick.

All you need is an ISDN link to an uplink facility like ABC or Clear Channel or NPR satellite services. Those three provide transmission for 90% of the syndicated shows out now.

i Wonder How Much CC paided Furman upfront to sub for Stephen A smith on Premires Fox Sports Radio and step inside CC Cincy HQ for the first time since he was shown the door

They didn't.

Fox sports radio called Andy on Tuesday with the emergency request.

that may be true but FSR is under same coperate umbrella as is Andy's former Employer. so im sure he may have been uncomfortable walking back into the Cincy CC Building to do the show for FSR

How is FSR under the same umbrella?

Fox is News Corp and, well, CC is CC.... or Bain Capital or whatever....
At any rate, CC may be an affiliate but there is no cross ownership or mutual ownership. If so, someone better notify Rupert.

From Wikipedia:Fox Sports Radio, abbreviated FSR, is an international radio network consisting of sports talk programming. The network is a service of Premiere Radio Networks (a subsidiary of Clear Channel Communications). Fox Sports itself has minimal control over the network; it is simply branded as such per a two-way marketing agreement with Fox Sports's parent company News Corporation
