WWFA St. Florian on the air

*snicker*

Well I'm putting in the first official songs request for this Asian music format:

Spirit Dreams Inside - L'Arc~en~Ciel
Tei! Tei! Tei! - Polysics
けしからん - Rhymester
お願い! セニョリータ (Onegai! Señorita) - Orange Range

(Yes, I really do own this music and listen to it on a semi-regular basis.)

(No, I do not speak Japanese.)

102.7 is back on air tonight and they are playing WALL TO WALL of Alan Jackson's "Gone Country". I just stumbled upon it. Anyone know how long its been going on? I have been checking on and off today to see if they were back on today. This must mean they have "Gone Country". Could be some competition for Kix 96 and WLAY. Shall be interesting.

oof, as if there weren't enough country stations around the area already, with WXFL, WLAY, WKSR, WDRM, (dunno if 93.3 the wolf picks up over there or not), even nashville only has 3

11:03 just the sound of a heart beat, and a (i think anyway) live mic with someone whispering a TOH ID "pssst... WWFA St. Florian"

I hope someone is recording this, i wanna hear the launch but i'll probably miss it because i'm at work

"wake up, come on we got a show to do, come on get up" keeps repeating, if this really does turn out to be another country station i'm gonna be so pissed. Then again, the country thing could be a stunt too, I recall Rocket 95.1 being a country station for a very short time before going rock

93.3 The Wolf doesn't pick up over there, due to lower power, and 100 kW WSYE 93.3 near Tupelo. Also, you forgot to mention 97.5 WLLX - Lawrenceburg, and 104.9 WKZU Iuka. Perhaps a better move for this station would be to go Oldies, since the only competition is AM 590 WWLX in L'burg, or either Classic Country since WJOR in St. Joseph went off air in 4/2006, and the only competitor is 104.9 Kudzu. However, Classic Rock wouldn't have any competition since WVNA is Mainstream Rock.

I always forget about WLX for some reason, It's very strong here too. This loop of gone country is getting monotonous, but I don't wanna turn it off, Hoping i wake up tomorrow to a loop of For Those About To Rock.

5:55 "please give me another song" it then goes into I'm Henry The VIII, I am by Herman's Hermits.... and then repeats, lol

I've fired up Audio Hijack Pro on the mac mini, I'll have an MP3 of the launch whenever it happens, and I get it chopped up. Looks like I'm the only one here keeping up with it right now. Live DJ is now saying "New radio station coming to 102.7 soon" between repeats of Henry the 8th.

Does anyone know who owns or is operating the station. I know Flinn owns it but who is putting it on???

Still no clue.

It went back to looping Alan jackson a few times again, then started looping Will A G6 Roll (Yeah Yeah Yeahs Vs. Far East Movement) by the MashMaticians at 7:30, haven't heard from the DJ in a couple hours.
Thought we might have seen a launch tonight, but i bet this goes on all weekend and it launches Nov 1st. I set up audio hijack to record files in 6 hour increments, so i can leave it recording all weekend and just delete the files that have nothing going on in them.

Just woke up at 1:09 am and it's stopped looping, now it's been several songs by KISS

4:30 am: still looping multiple KISS songs.... including I wanna Rock & Roll all night.... hmmmmmm

7:55 am and its still looping the same 8 songs by KISS in the same order:

Beth
Crazy Nights
Hard Luck Woman
Heaven's On Fire
I Love It Loud
Lick It Up
Rock & Roll All Night
Tears Are Fallin

This must be the sign it's going to be a Classic Rock Station.

But I don't understand why they are looping only KISS. I would have looped All songs with the word "Rock" in it. I'm enjoying the Kiss songs though, even as monotonus as it is. For what it is worth, last night when it started looping "Like A G6" I drove by the third time it started playing (I was down the street at Family Ford window shopping) and there was a Yellow Pontiac G6 parked in the lot of the radio station and a silver Fusion. The G6 had an Alabama tag and the Fusion had a Mississippi Tag. As I pulled in, three people left the building. Two guys and a girl. The girl is a current sales rep from another station, and the two guys I didn't recognize. One was wearing a hat, the other was not. I followed both cars towards Cox Creek Parkway, but the G6 turned Left and Fusion turned right. Since I knew the girl from a place I used to work at, I followed the Fusion instead. They went over the dam bridge then I lost them at the light on River Road.

I wont say who the gal was who is a current sales rep, as she is probably looking for another job. It is interesting to point out that she was not driving her vehicle. The G6 was not hers.
