All of this has memories of 98.7 KISS-FM!!! Emmis there sell outs too!!! Murdered 30 years of R&B too sell WRKS to ESPN. THEN the punch in the gut they ended up buying WBLS!!!! WTF?? I feel sorry for WBLS!! What will happen to them in the future??
And everyone wonders why SIRIUS XM RADIO HAVE OVER 3 BILLION SUBSCRIBERS!!! THIS IS THE REASON RIGHT HERE!!! OH!! PROBABLY GOING TO GET A LOT MORE AFTER THIS ONE.
Dear God, how bitter are you? I understand losing a gig or two making one upset for a time, but you take it to a higher echelon. All of this has memories of 98.7 KISS-FM!!! I was just talking to them the other day and that is what they told me!! OPPS!! Someone at Sirius XM Radio is telling me a fib!!
Perhaps they can even license the Nash name from Cumulus, since the station has been promoted under that name for 6 years.
So sad that EMF will put some crap Christian music box that's also on hundreds of other stations on such a great signal.
Cumulus could have sold plj to someone else to keep it alive!!! I wonder how they sleep at night knowing they just murdered another great radio station!!!
I am so pissed off about this crap!!! I am so tired of this crap!!! If i was the head of the fcc i would have totally stopped this sale!! Big time!!!
And a way to brainwash the consuming public.
I like to know where emf gets all this money to buys stations when they don't have any commercials!!
Rich Christians who see it as their mission in life.
THE SAD REALITY IS THAT BROADCASTERS COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THERE EMPLOYEES AND LISTENERS THAT HELP RUN THERE STATIONS. THEY HAVE NO HEART!!! THEY WILL THROW YOU UNDER THE BUS!!! I SHOULD KNOW BECAUSE IT HAPPENED TO ME!!!
IF I WAS A BROADCASTER I WOULD SELL MY STATION TO A BROADCASTER THAT WILL MAKE SURE TO KEEP THE EMPLOYEES AND FORMAT OF THE STATION. NOT TO THE FIRST BIG DOLLAR BILL THAT COMES along. I WOULD NEVER BE A SELL OUT!!!

I have a question since I am not in the radio business. NASH-FM will go to Entercom in an LMA. Is this a legal way of circumventing the maximum number of stations a company can own in a market?
My speculation as a hobbyist:
Christian music and the WKLV calls will come to 95.5 FM. Cumulus will park the WPLJ calls in a small market. The station now at 96.7 HD2 will move to 96.7 HD1 with different calls.
They will have to dump the NASH-FM name, which Cumulus owns
Now if Cumulus completely gives up the rights to the "NASH" branding,
"Crap Christian Music Box"? Most will tell you that EMF puts out a pretty good product.
Also, does it matter that it is "on hundreds of other stations"? It only matters if it's on where someone can receive it.
BTW...CBS News is also on "hundreds of stations"...does that make it bad?
Why would Entercom spend money licensing the Nash FM name and product when they could just take the cheap way out and toss on a 1010 WINS simulcast and call it a day?
Nash transmitter move (from RadioInsight)
Concurrent with the sale applications, Entercom has applied to move 94.7 WNSH Newark NJ to one of the Lyndhurst NJ towers currently utilized by iHeartMedia’s 710 WOR New York. From the new site WNSH will operate with 40kW/166m. That brings the station as far east as it can go without creating interference to 94.3 WWSK Smithtown NY. 94.7 WMAS-FM Enfield CT/Springfield MA will add a directional null to the southwest to remove interference to WNSH while remaining at its current 50kW/55m antenna.
