The don't seem to be needing them much longer.I think Tegna is moving 3 to the news hub system where newscasts will originate out of a central or regional hub with little live actually coming from the local studios and Cleveland is not going to be one of those hubs.
Scripps is also said to be moving in that direction with 5 also not being a hub location.

That would mean a possible WJW/WKYC merger. And with all the meteorologists at both stations, who knows what will become of the weather staffs.
