I don’t think The Breeze is going to or trying to be as edgy as B. They’re doing what they have to in order to sell the station, which means mixing in more recent music (which, honestly, except for a few is quite soft and non-offensive) while still trying to lean in to the softer 80s and 90s titles to try not to alienate that audience too much. Very thin needle to thread, but this is the most potential 106.1 has had in a long time.
Overall, The Breeze still leans older and softer than most mainstream AC’s, especially in large markets.

I liked the original Breeze and streamed it regularly. But I am trying to be real here in that it was not a format that would demo-wise be viable long term, the evolution was inevitable.
