Problem with a move back to AM is demographics. There is literally almost nothing on AM in this area besides screaming evangelists, Southern Gospel and Sports.
I suppose the key to that statement is, where is "this area?" I spend a lot of time in West Knox and listen to a lot of AM radio. There is some preachin' and jock sniffin', for sure. But there are also 4 decent country stations (730, 850, 1380 and 1400) with fewer commercials than the Frog and a mix of songs I like better that WIVK. And there are a few good talk shows on 760. Maybe I am rehearsing for when I get to be 60. Anyway, I still like some of the stuff available on AM, like NYC traffic reports on WCBS/880. Hey, Gr8oldies, maybe all you need is a better radio!
