The guy who owns KBSZ is a dirtbag named John Low ~ hence his 1tv.com company which has purchased some very low budget operations -- like KIKO. He plans to chain them together and sell it as a Phoenix movin facility - good luck with all that John!
Tonight (Thursday 5/13) for those in the range of their 50 watt signal, they're playing the #7 1961 hit "Pretty Little Angel Eyes" by Curtis Lee every 2-3 songs (probably the most times this song has been played in nearly 50 years). I'm guessing they have it set as a sweeper in their automation system by accident.

KRDE is locally owned by someone who actually lives in Globe. (shocker!) It looks like they had a deal to sell the place to Sunburst Media (which sounds like a First Broadcasting subsidiary but I'm not sure) last year but it didn't close based on the FCC filings. But yes, upgrade it and cash in appears to be the name of the game.
Everybody sees what kind of money the Shoecrafts got for KIKO-FM back in the day and they see dollar signs. Except 100.3 never was great as a Phoenix move-in and the other Globe signals were lower power to begin with. Given the economy, you've got as much of a chance to get good money for a move-in as you do in leasing a strip mall in Queen Creek. But they'll all keep trying.

However, its protected contour (if I understand the FCC maps correctly)
gets out only as far as Casa Grande/Coolidge/Florence:

Some of the other full Cs in Tucson (Cloud 95 and KIIM, for example)
show a similar contour, even though they're normally good in the 'Tuke

third song on either side of 4:00.
Around 7:00 it still aired a couple of times in a half-hour or so period.

12?? You're being quite generous, O.F. If there are more than five, Nurse Jeff and I'd be surprised. And we can't be counted as the Nifty 12~Sixty doesn't reach Buckeye well enough to occupy a preset on the Gremlin's radio!
